I was tipped off by the store rep that this snack is new on the market. As someone who has sampled nearly a dozen brands, I’ve found most to be too oily, too soft, or just off in taste. Growing up, Chiwda was a staple for me, whether enjoyed as a snack, on Poha, or mixed with Dahi.

This brand’s quality stood out. The texture was great – crispy with the right amount of masala. It was perfectly balanced: not too spicy, not too sweet, and best of all, not too oily or overly salted. The nutrition label also seemed slightly better than other brands.

Drink Pairing:

This Chiwda would pair nicely with beer or scotch.

The only downside is the ziplock closure. It’s a bit tricky to align and seal properly. Overall, I’m impressed and plan to try other varieties from this brand. For the price, especially in this economy, it’s a fantastic deal.
