Payment Mode Setup
Please enter your PayPal or Stripe credentials in the fields provided.

Locating API Keys

  • You can find the required keys in the Developer section of your PayPal or Stripe account.
  • Sandbox Mode: Use this mode to test the payment setup without processing actual transactions.
  • Live Mode: Select this mode for real transactions and to charge credit cards.

 

 

PAYPAL

1. Log in to PayPal Developer Portal

  • Go to the PayPal Developer Portal.
  • Log in using your PayPal account credentials.

2. Navigate to Your Apps

  • Once logged in, click on "Apps & Credentials" in the dashboard menu.

3. Choose Sandbox or Live Environment

  • PayPal provides two environments:

    • Sandbox (for testing purposes).
    • Live (for real transactions).
  • Choose the environment you want to work with (Sandbox or Live).

4. Create or Select an Application

  • If you already have an app:

    • Find your app under the "REST API apps" section.
    • Click on the app name to view its details.
  • If you don’t have an app:
    • Click on "Create App".
    • Enter the app name and associate it with your account.
    • Click "Create App" to generate your credentials.

5. Access Client ID and Secret Key

  • After selecting or creating an app, you'll see:

    • Client ID: Displayed directly in the app details.
    • Secret Key: Click the "Show" button to view the secret key.

6. Use Credentials in Your Integration

  • Copy the Client ID and Secret Key.
  • Use them to configure your payment gateway or API integration.

 

STRIPE

To find your API keys (Publishable Key and Secret Key) in Stripe for setting up a payment gateway, follow these steps:

1. Log in to Your Stripe Account

2. Navigate to the API Keys Section

  • In the Stripe Dashboard, click on "Developers" in the left-hand menu.
  • Under the Developers section, select "API keys".

3. View Your API Keys

  • Publishable Key: Displayed directly in the "API keys" section.
  • Secret Key:
    • Click "Reveal live key token" to view your Secret Key for the live environment.
    • For security, Stripe only shows the Secret Key token once, so ensure you save it securely.

4. Choose Test or Live Keys

  • Stripe provides two environments:

    • Test Mode: For testing your integration (make sure "Test Mode" is enabled at the top of the API Keys page to see test keys).
    • Live Mode: For real transactions (disable "Test Mode" to access live keys).

a.    After signing up, the system redirects directly to the login screen and you will recieve a Verification Email
c.    Please check your email and click the link to verify your account.
d.    If you don’t receive the email, note that each email provider handles emails differently.
e.    Be sure to check your Junk, Spam, Promotions, or Trash folders.
f.    If you still don’t find the email you can try forgot password to send a reset email.
g.    If the above does not work, reach out to us via the contact us form. Provide your name and email address you used. Keep in mind if your information is identified as Spam it will not be activated.

  1. At the login page you will get an option to sign up / Login. If you are a college user. Select it as your role and you will get access to the college section. College users will need to validate using their college email address.

Yes

A. Our site functions solely as a listing service, where event organizers can list and sell their tickets, being responsible for their listings. When a ticket is purchased, the payment is handled by PayPal. We opt for PayPal to manage transactions as it provides security and protection for buyers. Sellers need to have a registered email with PayPal to receive payments. We deduct fees from the seller for each ticket sold, not from the buyer.

B. PayPal offers a service called PayPal Purchase Protection that covers any payer on the platform in case of problems. If an item doesn't arrive or is significantly "not as described" by a seller, PayPal will facilitate a full refund.

C. When you buy a ticket or an item, the total charge on your statement will be in two parts: one part for the seller's payment and another part for the DESIFORMAL Fee. The total will be displayed at checkout.

3) Is my payment secured?

A. YES. All payments are handled through PAYPAL/Stripe.

B. DesiFormal does not collect credit card information.

C. When you purchase a ticket on the DesiFormal site, PayPal handles the payment transaction. We do not store or keep your credit card information.

A. No. When you sign up, it will ask you for a college email address and a private email address. Going forward, you will only log in using your private email address and the password you created. Any access to the college side will only be available after your college email is verified.

A. When you create the account for the first time, you will receive a confirmation email that you must verify. Once verified, it will work.

B. Please do not use autofill information. Sometimes, browsers do not accept it. Please type in your email and password manually and try again.
C. If the account is found to be fraudulent, it will be removed.
