Las Vegas

There is a growing Desi community in Las Vegas. The community is diverse, including people of Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, and Sri Lankan descent. Many of the Desi residents live in areas such as:

 

• Spring Valley
• Henderson
• Summerlin

 

These neighborhoods offer proximity to Indian grocery stores, restaurants, cultural centers, and temples. Popular Indian grocery stores in Las Vegas include India Market and Global Foods, while Indian restaurants like Mint Indian Bistro and Tamba Indian Cuisine are local favorites. Additionally, there are several places of worship, such as the Hindu Temple of Las Vegas and various mosques, to support the religious and cultural needs of the community.

 

Reno

• Though smaller than Las Vegas, Reno also has a growing Desi population. Residents here can find Indian grocery stores like India Kabab & Curry and Namaste Indian Market.
• Temples and Cultural Centers: The Hindu Temple of Northern Nevada serves the religious needs of the community and hosts cultural events.
